Illumination LED
Tubes Independently movable arms
Use Orthoptics

Applications

  • Measuring angle of squint
  • Assessing binocular single vision and fusion
  • Orthoptic exercises and treatment

The LED synoptophore presents separate images to each eye through movable arms, allowing measurement of squint angle and assessment of fusion and stereopsis. It also supports orthoptic exercises. LED illumination gives stable, cool light. A key orthoptic instrument.

What to check before ordering

  • Slide set. Confirm which slides are included — they define what the instrument can be used for.
  • Illumination. LED runs cooler and avoids bulb replacement; confirm what is fitted.
  • Calibration. Ask how the arms and scales are calibrated and verified.
  • Mains supply. Specify your voltage and plug type, and check the table height it will sit on.
